Gumleigh Gardens Hostel
Wagga Wagga
Gumleigh Gardens Hostel is an architect-designed residential aged-care centre with 15 dementia specific rooms and 28 single ensuite rooms and one double room, suitable for couples.
The new Hostel was purpose built in 2013 with courtyard gardens, water features and lovely walkways. The interior of the Hostel is furnished with modern design furnishings and fittings and there are both communal and smaller lounge areas including 6 outdoor sitting areas for residents and visitors.
Featuring flat screen televisions, library facilities, an on-site chapel with weekly services, the addition of the Hostel to the adjoining Gumleigh Gardens Village means that those who may require assisted care services can remain close and stay in touch with the community they have grown close to.
Gumleigh Gardens Aged Care Hostel is part of the Murray River Region of the United Protestant Association of New South Wales. Credentials coming soon.
Gumleigh Gardens Hostel is in close proximity to the main shopping centre, doctors, medical specialists and the hospital. We are also surrounded by lovely small towns which make for interesting short day trips.
We cook fresh home-style meals daily with a seasonal four-week rotating menu. Families are welcome to join in all the facility events and are encouraged to visit as often as possible. Families and friends are welcome to join our residents for meals anytime.
All our staff are trained, passionate and genuinely love what they do. We have Registered and Enrolled Nurses to assist with clinical care and medication management. Our Care Service Employees can assist with all aspects of resident care 24 hours, seven days a week. We also have two Recreational Activities officers who socially and emotionally assist with meeting the needs of our residents.
Our bus offers residents outings twice a week and we have many community events held at the facility including school visits, dance companies and singing groups.
