On this Sunday walk, we will explore the northern end of Nail Can Hill.
Starting from Jindera Gap, we’ll head up to the highest point for morning tea and views over the city, then follow the Ridge Track down to cross Centaur Road. We have another climb before lunch at Reedy Dam or the nearby lookout, after which we turn around and head back the way we came.
On the return journey we’ll follow the Bakes Track for part of the way before reaching the high point again, after which it is downhill back to the start.
It’s all on track, about 14 km all up. We should get some views, good company and healthy exercise. There’s not much flat on this walk, so walking poles are recommended if you use them.
[If the road to Falls Creek has re-opened, this walk will be postponed].
