We’ll meet at the Albury Community Wood fired Ovens car park at the river end of Hume Street to take a short hill climb up to Albury’s iconic Monument. This climb will activate hearts and muscles ready for a meander along the Yindyamarra Trail to Horseshoe Lagoon, enjoying the sculptures, the bird life, the turtles, the mirror reflections. We will loop back to our start point to make amazing use of the Ovens! The formal part of the walk finishes here, however hopefully you will bring food to cook and enjoy socialising afterwards. The oven coordinators will not only cook pizza but they’re happy to cook your Sunday roasts and veggies, scones, bread…
Please bring your food ready to go straight into the oven, possibly covered with foil. BYO eating equipment, carving tools for your roast, container for any leftovers, perhaps paper towel, tea towel, chair in case it is busy and other items you might take to a BBQ.
(It is possible to not participate in the walk but come for the cooking and eating. If you wish to do this it is not necessary to book into the walk.)
