Volunteering

The club has a long history of supporting worthy environmental causes whereby members volunteer their time and effort, often working in conjunction with Bushwalking Victoria and Parks Victoria. Weed eradication and maintenance of tracks and infrastructure are among projects undertaken.

Border Bushwalking club has ‘adopted’ Young’s Hut on the Falls Creek plateau and over many years held numerous enjoyable weekends there performing essential maintenance. This work has been supported by donations from the High Country Huts Association and Bushwalking Victoria and is done in consultation with Parks Victoria.
