About Us

Border Bushwalking Club has over 150 members, with members coming from all walks of life, meaning you have the opportunity to meet and socialise with a wide and diverse range of people.

After over 45 years a number of our foundation members are still active in the club and all our members have a keen interest in bushwalking, the outdoors in general, and in the fitness and health benefits that come from these activities.

As well as our core business of bushwalking, we also go on bike rides, play in the snow, kayak and canoe on lakes and rivers, enjoy the luxuries of car camping, and do some volunteer work to protect, preserve and enhance the natural environment.

We are an inclusive, friendly and social bunch of people always keen to welcome new members, whatever their bushwalking experience or fitness levels, as our activities cater for a wide range of preferences and abilities.

All our activities are led by experienced volunteers from within the club, and we are affiliated with Bushwalking Victoria.

Our monthly newsletter – Footprints and our Events Calendar showcase the activities that we offer.
