CROSS COUNTRY SKIING

We have a small, dedicated group of cross-country skiers who regularly ski the High Plains during the winter months. The group welcomes newcomers to join them, whether novices or experienced skiers.

Ski trips are organised through a ‘WhatsApp’ group so we can arrange trips at short notice when the weather and snow conditions are favourable. These are usually day trips to nearby Falls Creek and the High Plains. Costs are shared by participants. We usually carpool and include a stop in Mount Beauty for a coffee or hot chocolate after a day of snow play.

SNOWSHOEING

The Club’s snowshoes have proved one of the most popular items of hire equipment and anyone who can walk can snowshoe. What better way to enjoy our fantastic winter wonderland than by a gentle stroll in the snow? We usually travel to Mount Buffalo or Falls Creek.
