Plain Creek is a tributary of the Delatite River. The 7.5km loop to Plain Creek Falls follows a pretty gully track lined with water ferns and fungi. This loop walk starts from Carter’s Day Visitor Area and follows a well signed dirt walking track to the falls viewing area. The return walk back to cars will follow tracks through Mansfield State Forest, where evidence of logging and saw milling is visible with slots cut into stumps for boards.
After lunch back at the cars, we will walk part (6km return) of the lower section, Carters Mill visitor area to Mirimbah Park and return, of the Delatite River trail a shared MTB/walking trail that links Mt Buller and Mirimbah.
