11 of us had a great walk up Mt Sugarloaf in August but a few people were disappointed that the date didn’t suit and I’ve decided it’s probably best done in the opposite direction so I’m putting it on again walking clockwise instead of anti-clockwise.
Mt Sugarloaf is on the northern side of Woolshed road (which heads out to Eldorado).
The shortest route there is on little used 4wd tracks that climb through some very pleasant forest. Some of the walking is steep but never such that your boots scrape your chin. There is a small section of a few hundred meters on a dirt road that could have some traffic.
There is a very pleasant lunch spot with great views at the top.
The walk is 15 km all up and we won’t be in a hurry.
