This walk starts at the Mountain Creek camping area in Tawonga and skirts round the base of Mt Bogong before ending in Mt Beauty. It is all on track, mainly up in the morning (with a short steep pinch near the start) and down in the afternoon. Walking poles are recommended if you have them. There is a shallow creek crossing at the very end of the walk. Most of the route is through forested areas, so hopefully we will get a bit of shade. There are also a few views and perhaps a glimpse of a hidden waterfall. Length about 15 km, pace will be slowish. We will have an early start but if the weather is very hot the walk will be cancelled. You should have at least 2 litres of water with you.
