This is a classic high country walk with views and heritage.
We start from Rocky Valley dam wall and gradually climb Heathy Spur, then cut across to Mt Nelse, with 360 degree views. (Route may be varied if too much snow about)
We descend to Edmonson Hut, nestled among snowgums, for lunch and return to the cars by the same route or an alternative.
Distance about 14 km, grade 3, some steady climbing but pace will not be fast.
Walkers must be equipped for alpine conditions with good wet weather gear, spare sweater and gloves/beanie.
Co-leader welcome!
Please call me to discuss coming on this trip BUT no calls on Tuesday 10 October because I will be unavailable all day/evening. Thanks!
