Day walkers very welcome!

Daily walks are:

Friday – Lake Catani Circuit, 3kms, Grade 1-2

Singing walk, 4pm

A stroll around the lake with an intro to the songs we’ll be singing for the weekend.

Mostly gentle and relatively flat on formed paths, some rocky steps and short steeper sections with a handrail near the spillway.

Friday 6pm lakeside BBQ dinner

Saturday – Reservoir, Og Gog Magog, Eagle Point, 8kms, Grade 3

Singing walk leaving around 9:30am

A very beautiful walk and amazing views with a fair bit of up and down, rocky steps, gravel 4WD tracks, some metal ladders at Eagle Point and rock scrambling at Og Gog.  Returning almost to the Reservoir, the group may divide if some would like to walk another 4km to climb Mt Dunn.

Saturday 5pm – happy hour campfire sing

Sunday 9:30am – Old Galleries singing session, 1km, Grade 2-3

This would have to be one of the most spectacular 1km walks in the area, where we’ll spend the morning singing amongst the rock formations.  There’s a bit of rock scrambling, some steeper rock steps and a few staircases, but we’ll take it slow and help each other along.  A perfect one if you just want to come for the morning.

Sunday lunch – The Cathedral & Hump, 2kms, Grade 3

Here’s where we earn our lunch!  It’s a steep and constant climb on formed steps with some rock clambering, but definitely worth the effort.

Sunday afternoon – Dicksons Falls Nature Walk, 4kms, Grade 2

Walk only (not singing).  A stunning counterpoint to the rocky morning, walking across the grassy plain surrounded by iconic peaks.  This is a fairly gentle walk, a few sections of up and down with a short descent to the waterfall.

Monday morning – TBC depending on campers, 2-4kms, Grade 3

Monday lunch – 1pm at Happy Valley Hotel, all welcome even if you haven’t joined any of the other walks.

Please feel really welcome to phone me or email leannemurphy at bigpond.com if you have any questions or would like to book in.  It’s highly recommended to book your preferred campsite earlier rather than later, our communal area will be sites 42 & 46.
