Trip Report:

There was no water at the Bluff Creek or Blue Gum campgrounds but we had brought plenty.

Walking Sat afternoon was very pleasant however a bit more difficult (steep) than anticipated

The cycling trip on the Sunday was almost entirely on bitumen surface.

The group made their way to the Bluff Creek campground after driving the long way round via Bethanga bridge, calling in at Granya and checking out the cycle route we would take on Sunday on the drive to Walwa. Sat arvo we completed the walk from Bluff Creek campground to the Bluff Falls (no water) and up to Campbells Lookout and return

The evening spotlighting in the vicinity of the campground resulted in locating one ring tail possum.

The Sunday bicycle ride commenced about 9-30 from Walwa and our first stop was the Walwa cemetery We continued along this picturesque road for about  56km which required about 3.5 hours on the saddle until we reached Bungil where Bill had stashed his car.

From my point of view I particularly enjoyed the company of Cindy Jiang, John Jamison, Bruce Key and Trish’s son Thomas for the first time on a club trip – a special mention for Bill who was just great with Cindy and Tom when they needed some help with the cycling – we completed a 56km bike ride in perfect weather and great scenery
